Welcome to the new version of IBM Service Request!
For those using Service Request for software, the workflow for creating and updating software service requests (PMRs) has not changed. Improvements to the Service Request user interface and navigation include:
- A new header section replaces the tabbed navigation and remains static throughout the Service Request application.
- The header section contains search options including a new "Quick Search" drop-down list with common searches and your existing saved searches.
- "My Profile" is renamed "Preferences" and appears on the right side of the header section.
- Software Registration, Preferences, and Administration (if applicable) move from a left navigation menu to the right side of the header section. These items open in an overlay to your current page allowing you to view and update them at any time without interrupting your task.
Those using Service Request for hardware will find a familiar workflow for creating and updating hardware service requests that improves the user experience and navigation and takes advantage of Service Request features such as saved searches.
