Search for Service Requests

Simple search options are listed in the header section of every SR page. For complete search options select the "Advanced search" option within the "Quick search" drop down box.

Hardware Search

Search for hardware service requests from any SR page:

  • By hardware request number:
    Enter the service request number in the "Search by service request number" section and click the magnifying glass icon.

To find all of your hardware service requests, please follow these steps:

  1. Select the "Advanced search" option within the "Quick search" drop down box in the page header section. A new page of full search options will be presented.
  2. Choose the radio button for "Display all requests".
  3. Check both boxes to "Show open requests" and "Show closed requests".
  4. Click the "Search" link at the bottom of the page

Note:Adjust the options above to see the desired results.

Software Search

Please note that Basic access users have limited search functionality. You must be at least a Full access user to search by customer number and to view your service requests that were not created in IBM Service Request. See the Access level help tab for more information.

Search for software service requests (PMRs) from any SR page:

  • By service request number:
    Enter the service request number in the "Search by service request number" section and click the magnifying glass icon.
  • By customer number:
    Enter optional keywords, then select the customer number from the drop-down box, and press the and click the magnifying glass icon.
    Note: You must have at least Full access to search by customer number. See the Access level FAQ for more information.

To find all of your Service Requests (PMRs), please follow these steps:

  1. Select the "Advanced search" option within the "Quick search" drop down box in the page header section. A new page of full search options will be presented.
  2. Choose the radio button for "Search all service requests".
  3. Check the "Include archived service requests" box
  4. Select the customer numbers you want to include or pick 'All'. You can select more than one by holding down the Ctrl (control) key and clicking the desired customer numbers.
  5. Click the "Search" link at the bottom of the page

Note:Adjust the options above to see the desired results. The results appear on two separate tabs (Active and Archive). You must select the Archive tab to view older service requests. After the results are returned you can save your search by entering a name in the "Save my search as" field. Saved searches will be listed directly on your SR homepage for quick access. If you update an active service request via SR it will appear on your SR homepage.
